These terms govern your use of Ethno Cal, a calorie and macro tracker for global home cooking. By creating an account or using the guest scan, you agree to them.
The service
Ethno Cal analyzes photos, text and barcodes to estimate the nutrition of meals. All values are estimates based on typical recipes and portions — your actual plate may differ, and confidence levels are shown so you can judge for yourself.
Your account
You need an account to save logs. Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity on your account. One free guest scan is offered per browser without an account.
Subscriptions and billing
Premium is billed by Stripe at the prices shown on the pricing page before you buy. You can cancel anytime from Settings; access continues until the end of the paid period. No hidden trials or silent conversions.
Your content
Meal photos, logs and corrections are yours. You grant us the limited right to process them to run the service. Deleting your account removes them permanently after the 30-day grace period.
Not medical advice
Ethno Cal provides nutrition estimates for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietetic or health advice. Consult a professional for medical decisions.
Termination and changes
You can delete your account anytime from Settings. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app.
